Who We Are

One senior practice. A trusted network.

Siddon Strategic Communications is led by Jennifer Siddon — personally, from first conversation to final deliverable. When the work calls for more hands, a tight circle of like-minded experts joins in.

A senior storyteller and strategist with more than 25 years of experience — and the rare range to take a project from idea to audience, single-handedly.

Jennifer's career began in the newsroom. For twelve years she wrote and produced television and online news — learning to find the story inside complex, fast-moving events and tell it with clarity, speed and accuracy. It's a discipline that still shapes every project she takes on.

From journalism she moved into communications leadership across Metro Vancouver's transit and transportation network, including as the spokesperson for SkyTrain during the 2011 Stanley Cup Riot — a defining test of crisis communications.

As Associate Vice President of Corporate Communications at Woodfibre LNG, Jennifer led the communications and community relations program that secured provincial, federal and Squamish Nation environmental approvals for the multibillion dollar project in Squamish, BC.

Since founding Siddon Strategic Communications, she has led communications and engagement for a highway improvement project (Delta, BC); served as Director of Communications for the original Cedar LNG partnership under Pacific Traverse Energy (Kitimat, BC); helped win the bid for a transit infrastructure project as part of an international team (Toronto, ON); led the Recreation and Culture Program Review for the University Neighbourhoods Association at UBC (Vancouver, BC); and served as Indigenous Engagement consultant for the successful approval of a mining project in Tahltan Territory in northwestern BC.

Alongside client work, Jennifer teaches business communications and facilitates strategic planning for organizations across the public and private sectors — translating two decades of practice into the rooms where the next decisions get made.

The network

When the work calls for more hands.

Some projects need more than one person can deliver. For those, Jennifer draws on a tight, trusted circle of senior practitioners — producers, videographers/drone operators, and government relations advisors — built over decades of working alongside the best in the business. Same philosophy. Same standards. Same knack for getting things done.

Jennifer is simply the best communications professional I have ever had the pleasure of working with. You don't have to worry when Jennifer is on your team. She'll find a way to get the best possible result. I'm not a micro manager so I need staff who take initiative and solve problems on their own — Jennifer is that person!
